A Note from Jamie
ReEntry! What a phenomena. The Roots in the Garden series got off to a good start in May. The Roots Ireland project campaign did, too. I’m sorting a box of keepsakes my Mom saved from my career. Wonderful surprises.
In family news. Nia has news involving a big promotion. (I’ll leave to her to share with you). Olive is moving up from kindergarden in the fall, and she and family are moving to an exciting house near the river! The boy cousins Cosmo and Arlo are as adorable as ever, and I love being with all three of them. There’s a new baby, Ezra! Born to my nephew Peter and his wife Shira. Congratulations!

I wrote the lyrics as an homage to the women who were muse, model and artist in 19c Paris, as a post-script to our show Hello Dali. Michael Smith wrote the music. This lovely version was arranged and recorded by Peter Swenson, with an ensemble. John Erickson and I will be performing it in this summer’s Roots in the Garden concerts. The painting is Michael’s.
