A note from Michael. Sometimes your life turns in a way that makes you think: oh how fortunate for me. Good things happen when you least expect them. Well, I hope your life has its legit quota of these moments, because it seems to me that I’m getting way more than my share. A lovely experience in Coral Gables, at a reunion of folks who played the Flick, Miami’s legendary coffeehouse. Thanks to Gabe Kaplan, hilariously funny man and overall cool guy, for remembering where he came from, and making me remember too. How much of myself hasn’t changed at all in fifty years, and how much has gone way over to the other corner? A lifetime’s exploration. Meanwhile a concert for my friends Gary and Hank Tuber tonight, if you go and hear me and if I look a little dazed it might be that I’m high, or it might be something else. Looking back and looking forward.
