Blue River was recorded by the salty chanteuse Sophie Tucker in 1927.  I cover it here with Michael Smith and Peter Swenson, guitars.  Bob Weber, cello.  John Floeter, bass.
Listen to Jamie sing Blue River

I first heard Nancy Griffith sing this Celtic ballad with the Chieftains. Later, I sang this with the Rogues.  I recorded it in 2 takes, on the 2008 Souvenir CD, with Michael Smith and Peter Swenson, guitars.  Bob Weber, cello.  John Floeter, bass.  It was chosen as a Valentine favorite by WFMT radio’s Midnight Special.  Listen to Jamie sing Red is the Rose

I sang this song with my sisters when our babies were little.  Here it is recorded for my friend Rita Walsh, with Peter Swenson on guitar.  (Private recording.) Listen to Jamie sing For Baby, For Bobby

We sang this in folk group in the 70s.  This version was for my twin sisters Bernadette and Bridget’s 50th birthday. My niece Katrina sings harmony.  Peter Swenson plays guitar. (Private recording) Listen to Jamie sing Leaving on a Jet Plane.
