Jamie O’Reilly & Co present “Epitaphs and Apparitions”. Passages from literature, poetry and drama as rendered by Masters of American literature of the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries are featured. With original music by Michael Smith who performs musical selections from a quirky collection of “from the graveyard” songs. Settings of works by Edgar Lee Masters (Spoon River Anthology), Herman Melville (Moby Dick), Edward Gorey (The Vinegar Works), Shirley Jackson and the like, as well as new pieces, created for the program will be heard.
