We wrote this pop-style ballad when Meg and Nia were very little, and they fell asleep
to our music. Tom’s piano, or Wayland playing piano upstairs, and to our lullabies. My lyrics were written to capture a brief time when life was simple, and the joy I had as a young mother. Now as Nia readies for having her second child, a girl, I am reminded again of those spring nights, of “Good night, moon,” the silly songs. And of all the love.

We Are All Dancing
Vs 1) I will remember spring
I will remember the moon
I will remember your breathing, as I sang you to sleep

Ch 1) When we were all dancing
Dancing. Sighs broken by kisses, embracing and laughter
And rocking, rocking
I’ll remember these moments together of dancing

Eyes that looked into my soul
My throat drank your sorrow
And I remember holding you

And in the dark of night
Hearing not seeing ourselves
A melody whispers

With dancing?
