Roots Salon is in its 4th year of hosting dinner concerts at Tre Kronor Swedish Bistro in Chicago’s North Park neighborhood. This independent cultural series is produced and promoted by arts activist Jamie O’Reilly, in cooperation with Tre Kronor Restaurant. Events are every six weeks or so, and feature music, readings and a special menu reflecting the seasonal themes: Epiphany, Valentine’s Day. St. Patrick’s Day, Poetry Month, Mother’s Day/MayDay, Midsummer, etc.

Roots Salon 2024 Series will include at least six events this year, Midwinter, St. Patrick’s Day, MayDay/Mother’s Day, MidSummer, an autumn salon and more. All programming offers content that is community focused, with topical themes that feature a selection of material from music and literature, prepared weeks in advance, performed by gifted local artists.
