  1. Jamie,

I wanted to take a minute and thank you for making a connection for me to Michael. I first heard his, I Brought my Father with Me, by following a link in SingOut magazine and requested it of Jacquie Manning and Rich Prezioso when they played a house concert here in Macon. I later heard it sung by John Gorka at a show in Atlanta. Two years ago a friend of mine was killed in cycling accident and I turned and still turn to his We Become Birds for solace. Upon reading your write up about the song you revealed that Michael had written it after reading Robert Coles’ book, The Spiritual Life of Children and that was yet another connection. I worked with kids for twenty years and was inspired by when I heard him speak at a seminar. Two men living a life of attention can work wonders in the heart of us who hear them. Thank you.
